What Can I Show You?

Date June 22, 2009

I’ve been working on all kinds of great new content for the next version of Screencast Profits. Over the last year, I’ve met and talked to lots of you good folks about making Camtasia videos and I think I have a pretty good idea of what hangs people up and keeps them from making the best, most effective videos they can…but I’m going to do things differently than most of the other guys launching products out there do (surprised?):

Screencast Profits Version 2 will be very focused on user requested content!

So…

What can I show you?

What can I help you with?

What drives you crazy about using Camtasia?

What am I currently providing that you like or what could I do better?

I’d love to hear any and all comments you might have so just drop a note in the comments section!

And…this Thursday, June 25th, at 6PM Pacific Time (9PM Eastern) - I’ll go over comments and questions on a LIVE webinar session where you can ask whatever you like!

To catch this free, open discussion just click this link to register and I look forward to chatting with you then!

Hello Lon, Thanks for the seminar. I have this question: Which is the best format, or the best way to put a video (from a video camera) into Camtasia? High density, low density, what dimensions, etc., how many frames per second?

It is a bit confusing because if we do a video for CD or DVD it is not necessarily what we want for You Tube, or the internet.

    Thanks.

    Hi Lon,

Thanks for providing such a useful service to screencasters!

What advice do you have for someone who is brand new to screencasting? Perhaps you could share some of the pitfalls that new people tend to fall into, and how to best avoid them.

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Hi Lon,

I’m very interested in how interesting and compelling video backgrounds and transitions are created. In one of your vids you’ve mentioned Ovation, which works with older versions of PowerPoint, but apparently not with PPT 2007, and also is somewhat limited in capabilities. What else are you using? Also, where can we get some static but fun and interesting PPT backgrounds – like a stage with an audience silhouette in the foreground, or a whiteboard that we can then write on, those sorts of things.

As you can tell, I’m a beginner, and am very interested in your SCP, but wondering if I should wait until SCP2 (which is when?) – and I’m also having trouble finding out about the various levels of membership (gold? Platinum? etc).

    Thanks!
