If you’ve followed me for awhile, you probably know that I’m a big fan of big product launches.
Mostly because of the power of high quality video content! So…I study these things.
In the coming days we’ll all see, whether we like it or not, the latest round of in the monster product launch category, something called AffiliateDotCom from Mike Filsaime and Chris Farrell.
This post is the first in a series I’ll be doing to follow the process from a video marketing and Camtasia perspective.
I’ll have a LOT of great tips and techniques to share!
Here’s a link to the I5 Gold Call I mentioned.
And, if you haven’t seen the Google Search Story video, HERE it is.
I also did a tutorial that explains it HERE.
I’m interested in hearing any questions you might have about how the videos in this launch are created by Andy so leave them as comments along with any other feedback or ideas you have!
Thanks,
Lon

Wow! You are getting better and better Lon. If you keep this up you will be dangerous.
I liked your graphic stick men. I’ve noticed a few others using them. Is this a trade secret – or will you tell us how it’s done?
Bottom line – you have my attention.
Regards
Andrew

Lon,
Love the video, but this time I have to say your audio backing track is too loud, it’s annoying and made me stop the video, even though I wanted to hear what you had to say.
Please consider dropping the audio down on the backing track, or dumping it and going with something not so annoying.
Thanks,
-Brett

Lon,
GREAT content here, brother.
I love your laid back style and super info you provide here.
Can’t wait for the next one in this series.

ps – do you use wide screen PPT’s for some of your videos. I am thinking of swapping over to that for a more modern look and feel? what are your thoughts?

You Rock as always Lon!
One small thing you spelled Koenigs- “Keonigs” at 1:05 into the video.

Hi Lon,
Enjoyed the video as always, but would have to agree with Bretts comment that the audio was a bit loud in some places. I was actually relieved when there was no audio at one point.
Sounds very interesting what you are going to be doing and I look forward to following along. No doubt the master has more to teach us all.
Best Regards,
David

Thanks for all the comments guys!
Andrew: These are found at my new favorite graphics source – PresenterMedia.com
Brett & David – Ya…I was a little shocked! The audio backtracks are set to about 15% gain and sound great on my machine or when played from a web page. It seems like the issue is YouTube doing something to it during their encoding. This seems like something new? Haven’t really had an issue before.
I’m using the normal AAC audio codec from Camtasia 7 in the MP4 format and it definitely feels “hot” and bassy-boomy” when it gets to YouTube…
Mark: That’s probably a pretty good idea. At least worth learning how to do. I should probably sneak that set-up tip into this video series…
James: Ugggg…I know that too! Rushing to get the video done…Thanks.

Lon,
How do you come up with such great scripts for your marketing videos? Honestly, I am in awe of, not only your screencating ability, but your copywriting skills are fantastic. I am so jealous. Where did you learn to write like that? No matter how hard I try the best I can come up with in a script looks more like “Now, let’s click on the View button which will give you the full view of the application” kind of stuff.
I guess that is what makes us a good team, huh?
