Ripping off the Boss again

Ripping off the Boss again

While I keep up with what most video creators are doing, I can count the ones I follow and listen to on one hand. I don’t follow many “marketing” gurus because most of them don’t impress me much. And when there is someone who makes BOTH those lists in my book? Well…I pay close attention and…I rip them off!

Andy Jenkins is a guy with mad video skills AND one of the smartest marketers around. I highly suggest you watch his latest video below and study it like I did. When you are finished, we’ll take a look at some key video tricks and rip ‘em off!

WARNING: Yes, this video has no player controls and you can’t even Pause it (WTH?) so set aside about 18 minutes. It’s well worth it. Also, do NOT move your mouse outside your browser or you will be “Exit Popped” out of watching the video (WTH again!):

I’ve started my in-depth analysis of the best tips & tactics that can be “borrowed” from this excellent work. These clips are from my weekly Screencast Coaching webinar sessions. Let’s get started:

Coordinated Color “Pop” and theĀ “Push List” Effect

I love the tactics and effects above but, of course, I’ve got a FREE TEMPLATE for you in this one:

Here’s a link to the Color Sniffer Tool

OK…here’s the best part. I LOVE the content and strategy of this course! I’ve bought it and in the next blog post I’ll break down why it is so awesome and how I’m using it…so you can rip ME off!

Lon, YOU are just freakin awesome! Thank you for the great tips, tutorials and rip offs! You’re the BEST! … p.s. I’ve got Andy’s Beginner’s Luck program too … it’s well worth the small investment!

The color matching is do suttle, yet such a very powerful techniqure.

    Thanks for the tip Lon.

It was interesting seeing your color picker tool. Personally, I’m fond of Color Cop myself for the simple reason that it presents the RGB values in the same vertical orientation as you see in the Powerful Pointing app. ;)

Oops… I hate when I forget to add a handy URL!

    Hello Lon,

Just FYI as a Heads Up,
In the Comments Section above Rick Stone September 5th,2012,
is recommending [‘ColorCop’] a free color sniffer that contains a malware virus …according to Google’s Panda Cloud..I hate it when people do stuff like that!

I noticed the link for Color Sniffer is no longer good. I picked up a free color tool from another of Lon & Michelle’s videos. it is colorzilla. it is free and is great.

It also features a nice gradient tool.
    And no infections here.
